Easily Sidetracked…

Posted by georgiannasaysjustdoyou on February 8, 2011

Sound like you?  I am not talking about legitimate ADD.  I am talking more like when you are sure you are going to do something, starting tomorrow.  Tomorrow comes, but it doesn’t seem like quite the day to start because there are other pressing priorities or because it doesn’t quite feel right.  Sound familiar?

It could be a project in your home, a conversation you need to have with someone, homework, work, job search, diet, exercise, etc.  You truly want to get to it, and yet when you lie down at night to go to sleep, you go over why it was that you didn’t do it and say that tomorrow you will not let anything get in your way.

Well, wake up today and stick to the plan.  Be an active barrier to the things that sidetrack you.  Don’t wait until the night time to review your day.   Get up in the morning and plan your day.  If something truly gets in your way, take a moment and re-map it so you can still get to it…TODAY.

If you are easily side tracked, only you know the true reason why.  When you are ready to commit to your objective, it WILL happen because YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I don’t have the answers, but I always have thoughts.  Won’t you share yours?

Very timely and true. Of course I had to laugh as I was once again checking facebook instead of the task I should be doing. But it was worth it to read this great blog.

  3. I believe it’s a path of least resistance thing, another one of those dirty tricks our mind plays on us. Solve this and live an incredibly meaningful life…
