Helping a Grieving Friend

Posted by georgiannasaysjustdoyou on June 14, 2010

This weekend, a wonderful woman lost her adult child in an accident.  He was very young and still in college.  I have never lost a child and I can see that it is not the same as other kinds of losses.

Sometimes, in our desire to be helpful to a grieving friend, we do things that are actually not very helpful.  I am hoping to get thoughts and ideas about ways to be helpful that you have either done or seen be helpful.  I know that there is a lot of grief out there, so maybe this post will be of use to you, the reader, or someone you know.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?
